Members of CEMC are paid on a component based price versus skim and butterfat. Our producers are paid for the protein content and other solids that are in their milk. Pricing wise, this is a huge advantage in certain areas.
CEMC is governed by a Board of Directors, which are elected by members of the co-op. In accordance with our bylaws, this board meets monthly to make decisions on various issues that may arise, as well as set milk prices.
CEMC in not the largest co-op, but we are the most cost efficient. We have a hard working staff that makes every effort to ensure everyone is treated fairly and honestly from the farm level right on through to our customers.
